What is Eco Resin?
In the world of Circles and Shadows Jewellery and Design I am always looking for eco-conscious ways to create beautiful jewellery!
I’ve recently been experimenting and making with an eco-resin called ResinCrete
Eco-Friendly All the Way: ResinCrete is made from natural minerals, ditching the petroleum-based ingredients of traditional resins. This means a smaller carbon footprint and less reliance on plastic based products.
No Nasty Stuff: Say goodbye to BPA and solvents! ResinCrete keeps it clean and safe, ensuring both wearer and planet stay happy and healthy.
Tactile finish: eco resin comes as a white powder and is mixed with a ratio of water. After it cures it has a lovely tactile, velvet like finish! In can also be coloured - I love making gorgeous blue marble effects especially for the sea glass jewellery!
Versatile: ResinCrete isn't just eco-friendly; it's fun to work with too! Whether you're into bold statement pieces or delicate designs, this eco-resin can be used for so many designs! I finish eco resin pieces with wax to give a water resistant finish. It can also be used with the more traditional UV resin to make it even more durable and to capture elements like semi precious stones, sea glass or shells on top.
