September Is The New January — Come and Make a Journal That Proves It
There's something about September. The light shifts almost overnight, the air has a different weight, and suddenly you want to tidy your desk, start something, begin again. January gets all the credit for fresh starts but honestly September does it better with all those back to school vibes and the changing of the leaves on the trees!
This September I'm running a workshop that leans straight into that feeling of fresh stationary.
Come and make a journal that's genuinely yours and leave with something that will actually become part of your autumn routine rather than sitting prettily on a shelf.
Here's what we're doing:
Making the Journal
You'll get a blank journal to make your own — with collage from magazines, gelli prints, stickers, stencils, pressed flowers, dried leaves, washi tape, whatever speaks to you! There's no right way - just YOUR way! All resources are included but if you have any images or photos you would like to include just bring them along!
We’ll seal the cover with protective film so it actually lasts — this isn't a delicate object, it's a working journal that can go in your bag.
Add a bookmark
An option to create a bookmark — collaged, decorated, yours — you can make it to match or go for a different theme entirely!
How To Actually Use It
We'll spend some time talking through ways in which you can use your journal — not rules, just options. Take what works, leave what doesn't.
We’ll also look at ways to create and use prompts, affirmations, decoration and techniques to eliminate the blank page freeze by getting things onto the page in the session!
You'll also get a journal prompts resource to take away so you'll have plenty of inspiration when you get home.
